    Default A Christmas tradition

It has become a tradition for me to take the Centurion out for a spin the day before Christmas Eve (if the weather permits = dry and salt free roads).

Thought I’d share that feeling with this clip that I took before putting her back in the garage..

    Very Nice!

We got 8" of snow and ice and the salt has been laid down so thick my road is white with it. I live on a fairly steep hill and the people at the base of the hill have a rough time getting their grass to grow because of the volume of salt that washes down in the spring.

My Centurion is tucked away, dreaming of Spring.

    Thanks John,
I actually had people with their cars tucked away for the winter in mind I when posted the link. Guess it takes one northerner to understand another

We have that longing for the spring in common…

Per, thanks so much! The car looks just great, and I'm jealous that your weather has allowed you to take your beautiful Centurion for a ride.

    Merry Christmas to you!

    Wow
Per, that sounds nice. I took some days off until 8th, Jan.
So I´m going to install my dual exhaust in the next days. If you remember,
we talked about it because I planed to buy on at the same manufacturer.
I did. My dual exhaust is the same as yours but without resonators and Borla PRO XS Mufflers instead the stock replacement.
I´ll take a short video when I got it on the car. So all of the board can hear it.
    thanks for posting this.
    Merry Christmas

Thanks for the kind words guys,
The temperature here has actually fallen to 20 F* (-6 C*) this evening from 40 (+5 C) earlier today so the sunny dry weather may be all gone tomorrow

Austrian, yes I remember our discussion about the exhaust systems. Looking back I wish I had gone for some other mufflers too. The sound at idle is nice but when driving I wish it had been a bit richer without being noisy if you know what I mean.
I never installed the resonators, they are waiting on a shelf in the garage get sold when I get to put in an ad for them.

    Good luck with the installation!

Nice sound and good looking car, Per ! Thanks for posting that clip.

Yes, the weather is a great topic for all vintage car drivers. I thought about why we have this great difference between the last months of the years 2006 to 2007 and 2008. I searched in the internet and found something interesting. Today there is too litte time for posting that news but I will do it within the next days.

All friends of this site, I wish you nice leisurely days first -
    Merry Chistmas !

Nice Per! Your car sounds nice like this. Runs really great...

Too much salt on the roads here... I really want to take the Buick for a spin now I'm finally home again (I live on the campus normally so I dont have much time to go back home where the car is garaged).

    Default White Christmas

My old Christmas tradition has been run over by my latest hobby, ...SNOW shovelling!

I haven’t experienced such a cold and snow rich winter since I was in the army and that’s 30 years ago now, and it has just started…

I've started looking for a 4x4 as a daily driver

The last day of 2013 offered sun and dry weather with salt free roads here, in other words a perfect day to take mr C for a spin .

Once you get behind the wheel you realize how much you have missed driving it, in my case it has been standing still since September.
It takes off like raging bull during kickdowns and you can push it in the curves (if not too tight) performing almost as tight as a beamer

    Happy New Year all!

Per, great to hear that you have been able to enjoy your beautiful Centurion today in Sweden! I am somewhat jealous, since it's rainy here today.

Hoping you have a great 2014 as well!

    Default Nice Tradition!

I think i'll do the same before all of the Major holidays in the States. That car is awesome. So glad to see that this car is kept alive buy people from all around the world. Here in Georgia we hardly ever get snow but my car is getting restored and should be ready by Spring. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
