I need the following parts for a 1972 Centurion 4-door hardtop that is badly in need of help:
1. Four (4) Wheelcovers - can be the Deluxe; Super Deluxe; or wire (what's available?)
2. one (1) "Centurion" script/model name for front fender
3. two (2) "Centurion" helmet emblems for roof pillars
4. one (1) "Centurion" trunk emblem
I'm new on this forum; happy to see so many people keeping these rare and unusual Buicks on the road.
Thanks,
Lawrence J. Kalfayan

Welcome to the forums! Glad to see another 4 door owner. There aren't too many of them around.

Thanks, Smartin' -- it's nice to be here. My car will be a lengthy project, but I am determined to do it. I know I'm nuts . . .

Lawrence and I have been in contact, off and on, for well over 20 years and it is great that he has joined the forum. He acquired his Southgate built 4 door as a one owner car that needed a lot of tlc. It was really great news that he intends to bring it back to life and I hope some of the members will have some of the items he needs. Maybe one of you guys who bought a convert with standard wheel covers and have switched to road wheels will be thrilled to find a home for them. Welcome, Lawrence!

Hey Lawrence - welcome to the site! Good luck with your project. I am sure you know this, but eBay seems to have parts for these old girls on a regular basis, so check there. Also, the following sites have been productive for many members:
http://car-part.com/
http://www.rockauto.com/
http://www.buickfarm.com/
http://www.classicbuicks.com/
http://www.buickpartsdirectory.com/
Another forum with very good resources:
http://www.v8buick.com/
Good luck.

Thanks very much, Smartin, Bob, and Dewbers. It's true, Bob and I have been in communication with one another since 20 years ago -- more frequently then than recently, and it's great to renew that friendship here.
I will try to post pics (they are all "before" at this point) and you will see the sorry state of this car, but I love big old Buicks -- I am sure you understand! Bob alerted me to a set of wheelcovers on ebay which I will try to purchase -- believe it or not I've never bought anything on ebay before -- but there is always a first time. Nice being here!

I have 4 original wire wheel covers that came on my 73 convertable. I can send pics if you're interested.
I also just bought a parts car that should have two good roof pilar emblems.
I won't see the car until next weekend, but I trust the seller and he says the car is from NV, and is in great shape, no rust.
Let me know if you're interested.
