I have been tripping over 2 transmissions for a few months now, that I am not going to need in the forseeable future.

The first is a BOP 400 long shaft. It came out of a 72 Lesabre. The previous owner said it was rebuilt by AMOCO at the end of last year. It has a new converter, and looks pretty clean. I never really drove the car with it due to a interior fire, but it did move up and down the trailer just fine. $250.00

The second is a Chevy short shaft 400. It has a 3000 stall converter and was a pretty beefy rebuild. It has about 5000 miles on it, but has been sitting in the shop covered for about 1 year. It came out of a 68 Firebird I had that had a nasty small block in it. I converted the Bird back to Pontiac power, and kept the motor and trans for my long term street rod project. During mock up recently we figured out that the 400 trans will not fit the rod's tunnel, so it now has to go. It shifted great and always worked perfect in the Bird which I drove with the Chevy powertrain in it for a summer. $400.00

I would prefer a local pick up, but will work with with you on shipping if I can. They are both 1 hour north of Chicago 60060 zip. Tony
