Hello folks,

I am wondering is the Centurion windshield interchangeable/exactly similar to any other GM vehicle windshield of the early 70īs? LeSabre perhaps? Are there any others? My other question is that is it possible to purchase a new windshield for -72 Centurion? Or does it have to be especially made by professionals?

Thanks for all and any help regarding this.

I think Smartin replaced a windshield a few years ago, he'll probably let you know what the situation is shortly.

What body style? Coupe, convertible, or 4 door?

Oh I thought these had similar windshields... Anyway, my beast is 1972 2d HT coupe, bought it just awhile ago... and location is in Finland.

The coupes and 4 doors might share a windshield, but I know the convertibles are different.

You might want to check the details of your car insurance. A replacement windsheild maybe covered.

The reason I asked for interchangeable windshields from other GM manufactured vehicles is that I know a windshield could be made by mold, for instance here in Finland Kuttilan Autolasi manufactures windshields and windows for classic cars. However, there is a BIG difference in price depending upon if a windshield has already a mold (manufactored before) or if a new one needs to be made. It will be a difference counted in few hundreds of Euros - a lot more in american currency of course - and I would like to spare/spend that difference for gasoline!

Thanks for advice anyway. And no my insurance won't cover that.

Hello PaksuH

There’s a company in Gothenburg called Yankee Parts.
They sell new and used windshields for all kinds of classic American cars.

Used for GM 62-80 is from 1450 SEK (152 €)
New for GM 69-76 fullsize 2D-HT or convertible is 3480 SEK (366€)

You need to add the tax (for Finland) and the shipping to the prices.
