View Full Version : help with heat/ac vent pic inside

ok, here is the problem, my blower only blows out of the piece in the picture no matter if its on defrost, heat, vent etc.... I have no ducting going to any of the vents and im wanting to fix this. Is this what it is suppose to look like (please see pic). Or am I missing something? If i put new duct work from the vents where does it attach to. Does anyone care to take a picture of theres for reference? Thank you guys so much for all the help. I love this place.

p.s. the picture was takin under the dash just right(passenger side) of the transmission tunnel.

You're missing the plastic vent piece that sits on top of those doors. There is originally some kind of foam covering those doors too if I remember correctly. I believe you could push them in and you would feel the airflow from the fan, which sits under the back of the passenger side fender.

do the vent tubes connect to the plastic cover you are refering to?

Yes, the tubes connect to that plastic box that sits in front of the doors. I took all tube remains out and had only that box left which only blew hot air on my feet.

I can't take a picture since my car is in buick heaven, that will have to be up to someone else.

could someone please take a picture of what its suppose to look like? I have found some on ebay but not sure if they are correct......thanks in advance

You need to look at all 71-73 full size Buick stuff. Centurion, LeSabre, Electra, Estate Wagon, and Riviera.
