I am getting ready to refurbish my convertible top frame on my 72 and was wondering if it is necessary to replace the bushings. Here is a link to what im talking about

That would be a very good idea! These are usually the worst part of the top frame after so many years.

I'd love to see a closeup of where these bushings belong. I wonder if they can be replaced with the roof in place. I also wonder if they require a press to install.
If these are well made (and I can install them) they could really help my roof.

hi john, I bought a set of these bushings as soon as I get them I will scan the instructions for you so you can see where they go. I will also let you know if They needed to be pressed in

i just got done installing my bushing kit i got on ebay. The bushings DO NOT require a press to install and go in very easy. But I will tell you this, there is NO WAY you can install these bushings with a top installed. Lucky my top is off or It would have been a waste. Hope this helps
