Hi guys,

A new master cilinder is high priority on my wish list (it's bad and I don't want to crash into another car if it fails...). A long time ago I went to the parts suplier and he said there are to versions for a Centurion. Can anyone tell me which version is for my 72? I don't know how mine looks like because I didn't see it for a long while now. Most important are the measures for the connections of the brake lines, the connection with the booster and how the top looks like (the lid). If you can tell me this, I can order it and mount it the first day when the car comes back. :xyxthumbs:

Can you provide a photo of the master cylinder in your car? We will be able to tell you by looking at it.

here it is...
can you also tell me how thick the brake lines are, so I can order niples for the connections. I though the brakelines were 3/16"?

Wish I could help you Michel but I have no experience of the Buick brake systems, not yet.
If you could give us a lead of what the difference is between these two types of master cylinders, maybe someone on the board can figure it out….

I ordered it friday. The difference between to 2 he could order was, which kind of brake booster it is attached to (Bendix and another one I believe). Also the reservoir lid is different between the two. He ordered the one which has the same lid as my own master cilinder. He said that master cilinder is used very much on GM vehicles. Hopefully it's the right one, if so I will share it with you so you guys know which one you will need.
