Hey guys,
Yesterday I picked up my brand new interior!!!
Itīs perfect.
I told the guy of the interior shop to keep the original look.
But I told him to do the complete interior in grain leather.
two tone. The dark brown parts match the color of the dash, the new molded carpet and the new vinyl top.
Unbeleveable. I think Iīll sleep int the car when itīs done.
In some weeks I will pick up the car from the body shop.
Itīs getting the orignal light metallic green. Iīm not sure how Buick called that color (I think seamist green ???). The Bodyshop disasambled the car (removed doors, hood, trunk lid, front fenders, all the chrome and stainless, vinyl top, interior ......).
I told them to remove all the old paint. Donīt sand the old paint and spray over.
I also bought all rubber parts and weatherstriping.
Iīll post some photos soon.

My Buickīs back. And she has a nice shiny finish !!!!
Those of who saw the picīs before it was painted know how much work this was.
Itīs the original color. But we put a dark brown vinyl top on to match the interior.
This weekend Iīm going to rebuild the carb and put a Edelbrock Performer Intake on.
Yeah, Iīm going to remove all the 72 egr stuff.
But there are a few problems. The guy from the bodyshop lost some parts!!
And the power windows I bought for my car donīt fit. It looks like they are from a 4dr.
I think I can make the front PW fit, but thats impossible at the rear. so I need only the rear PW mechanism from a Hardtop or convertible. I also need some moldings .......
I posted that in "parts wanted".
Please, can someone help me??
Will post pic of the car this weekend.

If you're Centurion is a '73 model the light metallic green was called willow.
One of my favorite colors from that year.
I attached a picture of the first Centurion I was ever in and it was willow green with a green interior and a green roof.

Hey Rick,
my Centurion is a 72 and was green with green vinyl top.
The Interior had a dark brown dashand carpet, the rest was whit vinyl and cloth (looked like the cloth they used in cadillacs).
I painted the car in the same color. i wanted to keep it original look. But now it has a dark brow vinyl top to match the interior. The new carpet is also dk brown. The seats and door panels are two tone grain leather. (original design was done on dark brown and saddle.
Maybe I can take some pics today.

Sorry for the delay, guys.
Today I took some pics in the garage. I couldnīt drive her out because .......
youīll see in the pic :Brow:
Iīm still waiting for the parts I odered at "yearone".
The pics of the interior donīt show the colors correct. The dark brow is exactly the same like the original dash board. And the parts that look like their white are light saddle. They match perfect with the new vinyl top.
As you can see I try to fresh up the engine bay a little bit.

On the pics the car doesnīt look realy good. I still had no time to take care of all the chrome. Also there is some dust on the paint. But you can see that the body is realy straight. The new grain leather interior also looks realy expensive (doesnīt only look expensive).
You can see the Performer intake, rebuild 800CFM Q-Jet, all new decals, .....
The other parts you can see in the shelfs in the back are from my 57 Bel Air.
But also you can see the missing moldings.... Please, canīt someone help me with those parts.
If someone would get me those parts from a yunkyard or where ever, I will pay you for your work and the parts.
You can find a list of what I need at "parts wanted".

Seems to be a nice interior now and it was a good pait job too, but both is not to be seen clearly b/c the pics were from the garage and with dust as you said. So we are curious seeing the first pics when the car is totally finished - pics taken outside of the garage, perhaps next spring (?).
Guess it will be a real head-turner then !
Thanks for posting these shots ! Wish you will find what you are still searching for and sorry that I canīt help you b/c Iīm sitting in Germany ... .

Yes, next spring I can post pics out of the garage.
Today I will put the wiring for the power windows in place. Hoping to get the window regulators from anyone soon.
My new 2.5`dual exhaust reached cleveland, ohio on friday. On Monday the freight company will pack all the stuff together. I always place bigger orders at more companys and let them ship everything to cleveland. There the freight company whoīs working for me put all together in one box. So shipping is much cheaper to Austria.
Ohh man, thats going to be a good day, when I install the dual exhaust with the stainlees Borla PRO XS Mufflers, no resonators. Canīt wait to see how she runs, with the perfomer intake, rebuild carb, MSD Blaster Coil, MSD 6AL, K&N Filter and dual exhaust.
In my dreams I can see her, smoking those tires with a sound that makes you fear. haha
My final goal for the next two years is a 494 stroker with TA stage 2 heads, and a strong TH 400 from JW transmissions. The widest rally wheels I can find at the rear, with Hoosier drag tires.
I would love to see the centurion run 12.5īs on the 1/4 mile. I think this should be possible with 650+ hp. I hope I can get the money together for this.

Guess next time when being in Vienna Iīll try to give my eyes and ears a chance to catch some impressions of that came-true-dream.
Good luck !

Nice looking ride Austrian! I bet Kimson and Adam will love reading what you're doing to make her fly down the track. Both of them have ran their cars before. I wouldn't mind it either, but my ride is not set up like that... perhaps some day?!?! Good luck and we'll look forward to seeing and hearing more!

Could anyone take some pics of installed power windows. That would really help me.
Maybe thereīs someone who has to take of the door panels anyway, or still has them off.
I hope.
Thanks

Hey fellas,
Today I came home from work and found the parcel from YearOne. :beers:
I couldnīt wait to get started with installing the new stuff. Man, I love NEW PARTS. Best thing ever.
I ordered many gaskets, grommets and other rubber stuff, stainless intake bolts, new vacuum thermo switch, fuel filter, chevy choke kit (because of the performer) .......
So I put my "garage CD" into the radio started with putting it all together :Brow:
(Garage CD means ZZ Top, Dire Straights, Status Quo, Chris Rea, The Boss Bruce Sprinsteen, Chuck Berry,
Jerry Lee Lewis, CCR)
I installed the performer intake, the rebuild carb, sandblasted and painted valve covers, Moroso spark plug wire loom kit and 8mm accel super stock wires.
Tomorrow I will add a MSD Blaster 2 Coil, new fan clutch, 160 deg thermostat, renew some vacuum lines, heater control valve, K&N air filter element........
I hadnīt the time to go for the camera, so I took some photos with my cell phone.
