Hi all,

I'm looking for at least two, maybe four centercaps for the chrome wheels. This is for the set on my LeSabre I just installed.

Driver condition is fine...

I didn't think you dealt in driver condition, only top notch?

These wheels are in pretty average condition. And unless I completely start over with this car, "driver condition" is about as good as it gets:D

I have two fair looking one’s (pict 1) but on one of them the tab ring has come loose (pict 2), don’t know if it can be mended with super glue or something?

There’s a third one too (pict 3) also with the tab ring off and ugly looking, not really worth anything but it could tag along with the other two

I think the shipping would around the same as US coast to coast but I could find out..

I guess you probably can find better one’s close by and get away cheaper on the shipping....but send me a PM if you are interested

Thanks Per....I'll keep you in mind. It appears I might have found a set on v8buick already, though.

Smartin,, if you have old wheel caps, or can find some, I can rebuild them for you.. I did mine and they look great. I can supply metal logo disks, and clear lexan disks for $15.00 (per cap), plus shipping. Or if your interested, I can rebuild them for you for $25.00 each parts and labor, plus shipping.

Basically, you carefully grind the heads off the rivets which hold the back of the cap together... I use a die grinder. I guess you could use a sharp drill bit.

Then I insert the clear lexan window, followed by the metal disk. I then use a thin bead of clear silicone to seal in place. I finish by using JB Weld to glue the back piece back on the rivets. Don't know why most of these pics came out in black in white.. operator error I'm sure.

Good as new!!

Here's some pics of my project. I thought I would share the opportunity with other members of the forum.

Pretty Impressive Heavy... especially if the outside chrome is in good shape. A pretty good savings compared to ordering NOS or Repros at twice the cost.

Adam - I've got 4 NOS's in a box. Was going to replace my drivers with them, but haven't simply b/c my wheels are driver quality too. I need one driver quality wheel as one of my rear wheels is "warped" and vibrating badly.

Long story short, if you need one or two, let me know. We'll work something out. Unless you try Heavy's option, which seems like a very good alternative....

Patience Adam, I pulled a couple good driver quality ones out for you.
They are on top of the envelope with the build sheet ;)

Smartin,

I'm dragging home my parts car on Dec 31. I know it has two center caps, perhaps 4. When I get a good look at them and can take some pics, I'll send them to you, and you can let me know if you're interested.
