I have located a 76 225 supposedly with a posi rear end.
Anyone have the id's I should look for and what ratios are available?
What is a good price for a running parts vehicle with a posi?

I'm guessing the rear end would be the last part salvaged from said vehicle.
It has a 455 so I should be able to strip enough engine parts to make the purchase worthwhile.

Any other items that would interchange with a 73 centurion?

Thanks.
I've read and searched for the rear end threads.
The owner of the car states its a 2.73 posi, which doesn't sound right to me.
I was hoping there was a book with axle codes available and interchange information.
I'm still waiting for contact from the owner.
Don't know what he's looking to get for the car.

My bank account is looking mighty thin at the moment with all the ebay motorcycle purchases.

My '75 Limited has a 2.73 posi, which I know is factory as I have the original window sticker.

I believe the rear has the typical metal tag hanging from one of the rear cover bolts stating: "Use limited-slip diff oil only" or something similar.

Thanks for the confirmation.
I intend on raising the rear end and checking even if there is a posi identification tag.
He wants $175.
