Hi I am new here and am looking into a 1973 buick centurion convertible, it has the 455 but otherwise i don't know much about it right now, I like the look of the car it seems decent, I know it needs some TLC, can anybody give me some advice on the pros and cons of these cars. To be honest I didn't even know these cars existed until today, so any help would be great. Thanks alot I really appreciate it

When you buy one have it checked out for rust very good. There is no company out there that makes any body panels for it, that said if you need body panels it's either used OR custom made. Mechanically no biggies as most of the parts fit from other gm years and models. MAin rust issues: rear decklid, rear trunk pans, rear inner and lower quarter panels. These are the cons. The PROS ARE MOOOOORE........ You'll have a unique car that you don't see so offen at all. It rides smooth and cruising with it is amazing (i did that with my old Centurion that had watermellon sized holes on the floor) everybody looks at your car and you know THEY WANT IT, You can sit at your porch look at it and daydream and RELAX (that's what i do) . They are FOR THE MOMENT still reasonable priced compare to other classics. Hope i could help.

Hi I am new here and am looking into a 1973 buick centurion convertible, it has the 455 but otherwise i don't know much about it ... ...
Welcome here, eurioste !
The first step is done : you are interested in a very unique car ! Next step I would recommend is to read a lot of the threads of our forum; you will get knowledge about the car type (pros and cons), the type of owners and the giant enthusiasmn of the typical Centurion owner. But watch your feeling during that process; there is a great risk for you to get infected by the Centurion-enthusiasmn-virus ! Then noone can bring you away from buying such a toy ! ;) Only we could help with answers to detailled questions.
Enjoy the second step now !
