Just found this on Car Trader.
Looks like the one that was listed before but much better pictures.
The seller is calling the color bronze.
Looks super decent.
I tried uploading a few pictures but they didn't make it through.

I believe this car has also surfaced before because Keith sent it to me a year or so ago. Whether you are interested or if anyone else is, Richard, the seller NEEDS to provide the information off the body plate. That color is neither standard nor appears to be any of the colors used on the other 72 models. It certainly could be legitimate but the seller needs to provide the information so that it can be known what you are looking at or should be looking at. It is definitely different. Being from CT, one would think the car was Wilmington built but with no VIN provided, we don't know that either. The seller needs to help his cause with additional information. And some interior shots sure wouldn't hurt either.

I got it right this time and I attached the photos from the ad for the Bronze Centurion and the Flame Orange Centurion that is still on sale in New Jersey.
Don't know why I just did.:o

As Bob has suggested, it would be so helpful to have the body data plate information from the "bronze" convertible.

I initially thought that the color is similar to 1972 Skylark/GS Burnished Copper, but we really don't know without the data plate information. The Centurion looks too orange. The car has very likely been repainted, so it's hard to know whether the current paint job is simply a less-than-perfect attempt to match the car's original paint color or is something entirely different.

i have to go with keith, thats the first color that popped into my head, burnished copper. it looks like, again looks like a decent car, i do like the color combo, but it looks suspiciously hazy, could be the photo, but id bet a mediocre paint job, although they took the trouble to put the replace the dealer nameplate.rear bumper is tweaked and the exhaust pipes look hideous, why do people do that!!!! an easy fix though.could be a total pit or a very nice driver.i wish they never had offered the bodyside moldings on the centurion 2 door cars. they look so sharp without it.

Unless we can get the seller to contribute the body plate and VIN information, we really don't know what the car is or should be. After reviewing all the photos, it certainly could be Burnished Copper and that'd make it a very rare find indeed but the seller needs to help his car (and us) out.

I am new to the big cars but really like this car, is the seller on the board? Is that the original color?

i say someone should get in touch with the owner and find out more about it. could be a rare one or merely a color change. i can usually pick a hair out of a color picture, and do believe the drivers front fender at the feature line is pushed in a bit, it shows in not one angled photo, but both.from what i see it looks like a very nice car. i love the color combo, a paint stripe would look great ,and a set of nos door edge guards(easily obtainable at the buick farm or cars in n.j. for around forty bucks)would wake it up.what is the asking price, mileage, etc.

In is current ad he's asking $8500.00.
The original ad from last fall was $8500.00 or trade for a BMW of equal value. Or something like that.
The add is on the Carcollector web site.
The link is in my first posting.
I tried attaching the image from that first auction. It was pictured with the top down and in that picture the color looked bronze. In the new pictures there is an orange tint to the paint. But it could be the sunlight affecting the look.

in that picture the color is dead on. if the car isnt rusted and it is in fact the original color, or an expensive correct color change .someone should grab it at that price!!!what makes me wonder about the paint here is pure speculation ,but what are the chances of a color change being done in a factory correct for that year color, the only person that would do that is somewhat of a purest, again somewhat! i would never change the color of a car, again thats just me. let alone a centurion color. the only color i am on the fence about in 72 was sierra tan. all the others were beautiful, but again im also on the fence about colonial yellow in 73 ,by far not one of my favorites, kind of a mix between gerber baby food, cream corn and butterscotch. take your pick! but im going to have to learn to love it,.......arent i? bamboo creme is more my speed!if that convertible is what it appears to be,someone should look at it or send someone in the area to do so and throw an offer at that guy.

Hey Phil, you crack me up.
When I was a youngun of 19 I attended school briefly in Rhode Island. I didn't last long, I wasn't very studious. Anyway in the fall of 1972 there was a gentleman who worked for ARA services (they ran the school dining hall) and he had a 1972 Centurion convertible. It was sierra tan with a saddle interior.
Being a lover of bright pretty colors I was amazed that anyone would buy a car in in that in my opinion was the most ugly of colors. Plus I was a firm believer that all convertibles should be red.....
In January of 1973 friends and I went to the Boston auto show and then one weekend we visited Elliot Buick which was, I think, either in Warwick or Cranston RI.
At Elliot there in the show room was a Centurion convertible. It was willow green with a green interior and a green roof. I fell in love.:D
It had air, am/fm, accessory package, remote left mirror, chrome wheels, front and rear bumper rub strips, front bumper guards and I think it had the wide rocker panel molding and front lamp monitors. I have a picture of it somewhere.
Colonial gold was never my favorite 1973 color but I could learn to love it. I wasn't a big fan of midnight green either. It was just too dark. In 1974 Buick did dark green right. That was a great shade.
But I loved 1973's bamboo cream, maroon, willow green, taupe, and to some extent green gold metallic and jade green. I liked all the blue shades too.
Oh well I could go on and on.

Have you guys been reading my mind? As much a 72-aholic as I am, Sierra Tan had to be one of the worst colors ever. I always simply called it baby poop. What were the folks at Buick thinking and yet it did sell? Oh geez......

I REALLY hope somebody follows up on this convert though. I think with the dealer plate still attached to the deck lid, there is a good chance the car has either not been repainted or only perhaps part of it has. This could really be a sleeper but we need some good answers. Keith tried contacting the seller when the car was first on but never got any response from him. I hope someday we will learn a great deal more about this car because it sure could be a perfect find for the right person and maybe a very rare one at that.

I found the picture of the first Centurion I ever sat in.
This is the willow green Centurion from R.I.
I just noticed that it also had the right hand mirror.
This picture was taken at the Warwick Mall. Elliot Buick did a display there about a week after we visited their show room.
So this picture is from January 1973.
I made my friends take me here so I could take this and a few other pictures.
I was an addict right from the start. LOL.

Richard, that's a beautiful '73! There was one in my area during recent years in this same color -- a low mileage, beautifully-preserved '73 convertible. I've often wondered what happened to it.

Don't be too hard on Sierra Tan, guys. I understand your distaste, but recall having seen some '72 Centurion coupes and convertibles in Sierra Tan with road wheels, dark brown roofs, the paint stripes, etc. Guess what? I thought that they were stunning. Something about the contrast between the paint color and the dark brown roofs looked great to me. . . . :o Okay, I'm probably the only one who thought they looked nice, but the people who ordered them must have agreed with me. I guess it was one of those 1970's things.

I was an addict right from the start. LOL.what a gorgeous car, that color was beautiful, my moms girlfriend bought a new loaded 73 luxury lemans colonade coupe in september of 72 in that color combo . another car i loved. i was actually the first person to get a ride in it! very exciting !it was so radical looking at that time, compared to the 72s.try to find a nice one today, virtually impossible, that goes as well for a 73 regal, another car id love to have.
