:xyxthumbs: the yellow 73 will be picked up in florida this sunday afternoon. i found a reasonable guy who does one car at a time via enclosed truck, his son happens to live 2 towns away from me in n.j.so he was actually planning a trip up here.so the car should arrive sometime wednesday.so far a smooth transaction.insurance is on her.my car wax is ready!

thanks keith, that nice huh! this was totally out of character for me, i have to physically xray everything i look at or buy,you can relate to that im sure! so for me this wasnt a comfortable thing for me at all, but i guess the one time i dropped my guard i was lucky. i feel so good about all of the positives here.i dont want to sound sappy here, but i lost my dad last year, and he was the epitome of a buick lover .he was my best friend!so i think maybe he helped a bit.

Congratulations Phil on your purchase :beers:

This is almost an identical car and situation as when I bought mine.
It was my first purchase on ebay and I had to do all that registration and find out how things worked, start up a PayPal account etc.

I called the seller twice which seemed like good people to me and I thought, what the heck, I have almost never played on any lottery or on the football pools coupons, I’ll go for this one!
Like you I felt rather uncomfortable buying something I hadn’t seen with my own eyes, but those feelings quickly blew away the day I drove it home.
The car looked great on the pictures and turned out even better when I finally got it home.

Good Luck :xyxthumbs:

Way to go Phil!!! Man, what a great looking car! VERY HAPPY FOR YOU!

What a beauty! :p I am love sick over that car. So happy it's going to someone that will give her what she deserves!!

I feel your pain, along with Per's on the eBay thing. It's a tough thing to do. But you got Keith and Bob's blessings, so what more could you ask for! :beers: Between those two, Adam, Brian and a few others, that's like getting to kiss the ring of the king! Can't wait to see some more pics and the story of her arrival....

Damn, I am happy for you!

Good Luck :xyxthumbs:ive always loved the 73s , they and any car from those big bumper and colonade coupe era gets such a bad rap.i liked them since the first time i saw one as an 11 year old kid in 72,i thought the bumpers looked neat, and it was radical looking in comparison to anything prior.you either like them or not , no in betweens!the thing is i was never able to find a decent 73,they seemed to always be beat or tired.i remember a rootbeer brown 73 ragtop on the lot of a local buick dealer in 1977, with 13,000 miles on it for a crazy price of$4,495 . it was stunning. i pestered the heck out of my dad to buy it for me, and what a fight it was! but i lost, i didnt even have my license until the following year 1978.funny, but i kept looking at your car photos and randys and the other 73s in the forum in prior months and said to myself id love to find a nice one!

Hey Phil,
Seems like we share the same taste in cars…:)
I also remember that big bumber era 73-76 as an eleven year old, but it was on the Volvo’s here in Sweden… not as beautiful as on a Centurion, but safe though.

Here’s a pict of my 73 to work up the appetite for what soon will be yours…;)

Phil,

I'm with everyone else, I love your car! If I could have rounded up the cash last time it was for sale, I would have bought it in a minute!
