I don't think I've seen this one come up before. Seems to have had some restoration on it. Dash doesn't match interior, unless I am totally clueless!
(green dash on a maroon car, with white interior?!?!)
Overall, not a bad car, just needs a little more lovin..... :Brow:

Not a bad looking car. Though it depends on what his reserve is. Definitely a repaint, check out the over spray on the GM sticker. Green dash and the kick panel on the passenger side is green. My guess it was painted not too long ago to get the car sold for a good dollar amount. Original color was not red. Engine bay is rusted and old looking, which leads me to believe it was a quickie paint job, or just a bad oversite on the seller. The carpet... :tonge2: no comment other than it's not original. I would defintely check this car over stem to stern before any serious bidding. Mileage:Dou: No doubt it went over 100,000.

If you look at the Christmas present car you'll see the same color dash. The parchment interior came with this green/brown-mud color. The carpet isn't right. If you look at the door panels you'll see what color should be on the floor.

It's a fairly well optioned car, power seat, power locks, power windows, A/C, trip odometer-speed minder, 455.

I agree that a thorough look is in order, but I don't think the color is too far from original.

My bamboo cream '73 had the sandlewood interior.
Yes the dashboard and the carpets were a "funky" color.
Somewhere between olive green and brown.
I can't imagine what designer at Buick-GM came up with that color. But it worked with the off white seat color.
I would rather have had a white interior with the black dash and carpets that were available on the '71 and '72 Centurions.

I saw this on Ebay this afternoon and bookmarked it, but right now I'm just window shopping.

the name of that funky color is called midnite neutral, if you could believe it, youre right though, with certain color combos its nice.who got the job of naming colors anyway? had to be ladies.

In 1973 GM offered several shades of yellow or gold, several greens, brown and taupe, and maroon. The sandlewood interior went well with all of them.
The color of the dashboard and carpeting actually looked great with all of those colors.
And except for the maroon, dark brown and dark green metallics (and of course black), many of the colors offered in 1973 were quite bright and flashy.
It wasn't until several years later when GM went to a period somber boring colors.

I've made two e-mail attempts to try to determine what the original color of the 73 convert was that is currently running on ebay but the seller has not responded to either inquiry.
