Hi Guys,
I've been thinking about selling my own car and get a near perfect car from the states, I can spend 9000 dollar on the car so I have money for shipping and taxes which are about 3500 dollar like Rolf said last time. Do you guys think I can buy a really nice Centurion for that?

I can tell you this Michel, if you happen to located one in the Northeast area either I can or I can get someone else (a member in the Buick Performance Group) to go and check the car out for you. It will not be a problem helping out.
I am quite sure others on this board would help you out.

That would help alot ofcourse and I really appreciate that. :xyxthumbs: Also this will reduce the costs of a flying ticket for me and renting a car etc etc. First of all I need to know IF I can buy a beauty for that money, otherwise I will just keep working on my own Centurion.

Michel, I paid a little over 3000 dollars for my car which I think was a good deal considering its condition. The shipping cost hit me bit harder being almost on the dollar the same amount.
My advice is to keep your eyes open both on Ebay as well as this forum for the right car to come along. Get your self prepared by doing a formula for all the costs to have it home on the street in Holland.
Finally it’s always a risk buying something from looking at photos and even if you have it inspected its still in the hands of other people’s judgment, so ALWAYS calculate on the fact of being disappointed (at least to some degree) and think of that when you make your budget for the buy, in other words keep a marginal in your budget so that the import will be a good deal even if the car turns out not so good as hoped for...
Added shortly after;
The possibility to have the car inspected by any of the experienced forum members gives you a big advantage compared to a normal European buyer
