Not a centurion but close; A 73 buick electra.
If it´s as nice as it looks 14500 seems a bargain to me. High price but this one was a beauty.

That has to be one of the cleanest old Buicks I've ever seen, 73 Electra 225 2 door hardtop, 455, low mileage, and with all the options: I don't know about the 14.5k 'buy it now', but I would think it would at least get past the 7.5k starting price.

Man, that is a beauty! Hey Keith, I did my part here in the States to help inflate these cars values! or should it be :bawl: ?!?!?!
If this car was a drop top, I'd snatch it up!! But that's b/c I like to over pay! :rooleyes2:

Boy you guys from across the pond really have an inflated value of the these cars, one that I wish carried over in the USA. Would love to see these big cars bring that kind of money, but it just doesn't happen here. As lovely as this car is it's a $8K to $9K car tops here in the US market and that's with an eggor buyer.
Keith,
You are very right when you point out the gap in prices between Europe and the US, however you need to consider the drop on the US-dollar as a major factor too.
If you compare the current very low dollar with a few years back its like if you got a 30% discount at your local dealership on a daily driver purchase for ex.

In my opinion that black 73 Electra would cost about 14000-16000 USD in Sweden (registered, taxed and ready), its not so hot and demanded though since many buyers would consider it too new to be interesting for that money. So to sell you probably would have to be a little patient.

The insurance value is set to 16900 on my Centurion. I doubt I get that but on of the classic cars dealerships would easily ask for that. On the private market the price would end up around 13000 I think.

Below are some links to the two most expensive classic cars dealerships in the south Sweden, divide the prices with 6,5 for converting to dollar.

13.000 is great Per! If I get 7000 for my car when it's rustfree and has new wheels + tires I will be glad...

Michel,
when you say 7000, are you thinking Euros or USD? If it USD which was what I was referring to in the previous post, the price-level is a lot lower in Holland than I had expected...

Convertibles are for sale for around 10-12 k euros here. I bought mine for 5000 euros so maybe with some work and money into it I can sell it for 7000. in good shape I can ask 10 k I think... Maybe more.. Lincolons continentals and cadillacs sometimes go for 15 to 20 k! Who knows... :rooleyes2:

I´m watching the market in Europe and especially in Germany since 2 years now and my experience is that the prices for Centurions varies in a wide range mostly between 7 and 20 K Euro. The highest prices I found in Spain and Italy but Sweden, Norway and Denmark have pretty high prices also. Good made ads with good pictures and several information about the car bring more money than others – like everywhere. So in the Netherlands and in Germany those cars seem to be a little bit cheaper; I guess in average the prices are like those in USA only here they are not US$ but EURO !
