hey guys, im darren. dont know too much about the car, have read a little bit, but i bought the old boat from a farmer who was keeping it in his front yard, it looked so sad amid the chest high grass that i offered the guy 200 bucks to get it off his lawn, sold. and i drove the old girl onto the trailer and brought her home. its a 72 2door coupe, with a 350 and an auto. its sat for a few years now and ive finally got the time and extra couple bucks to get her running, but im at a loss. i need replacement panels, new tail light lens, new back bumper, new brakes and fuel lines, and a new fuel pump, and thats just for starters and i cant find anything for it. im hoping you guys can point me in the right direction.

anywyas sorry for the long intro...

No need to be sorry on a long post. Actually it's not long considering how some of us flap our gums with the keyboard (me included);)

Anyway, welcome and you have come to the right place on trying to track down some parts and advise. If you can take some shots of her and post em here that would help. Sounds like you may have gotten a good deal. Heck man I paid $300 for mine back in '96.

Welcome:xyxthumbs:

Welcome! The 455 was standard in 72, so you either have a transplant, or it's actually a 73. Do you have any pictures?

Welcome Darren! Looking forward to seeing some shots! There are parts to be found. Some easier than others to find, but Rick is right... you've come to right place! Listen, when you snap your pics, try to share the info from your cowl tag too! That will give Adam, Bob, Brian and the others the info they need in order to give you info that you may need to do this restore! The cowl tag and Vin # is the finger print of your ride. It will tell what when it was built, where it was built and how it was optioned......... Good luck and looking forward to following your restore and helping with the little knowledge I have! :Brow:

Guys, this drives my point of having some sort of "parts wish list" to run...
I've got to get off my arse and do something with this. I'll start a thread shortly with my idea on this since the site won't support what we're looking to do!! More to come...
