Joern, it could be a good idea to buy another car that is near to the junk yard and part out what you need and then sell the rest. Rick M. and Steve D. were talking about such a possibility some days ago and to me it makes sense because such special parts are cheaper to get that way than to buy them step by step on ebay or from other sources. The time you would have to spend for searching parts could be saved for other activities what alone could be worth doing it that way!
Perhaps something like this car could do it:

iīve been thinking about this but i donīt have
the space and the time to part-out a car,
iīm pretty sure the wife would be bitching and
i donīt like the idea to "kill" another car just to
get mine fixed in the easy way...

Space, time and wife are the main reasons not to do it that way, Joern, but a car being near to death often will die anyway by being parted out. I would hesitate too to kill a car for parts but sometimes itīs the only way for the car to survive - in his parts on different other cars. The example I found is not what I would part out also b/c there is a good chance to restore it. But even to do this and to add parts to your car also means to take them away from another one. You can turn it again and again - in the long run there is no chance for another way b/c most parts are not reproduced. On the other hand I can understand you very well and I guess you will find needed parts for your car without parting another one by yourself.
BTW: I asked Kimson whether the fender of his old car which "burned to the ground" would still be availiable for you :

Perhaps itīs still in good condition; You can see it here:

And perhaps he has some other parts for you - ask him.
Good luck again !
