clicking noise coming from dash

Hey guys, I have a clicking noise coming from the dash 73 Centurion which correspondes with speedometer needle the faster I go the faster the clicking any clues on what's causing this.
My speedometer bounces around too its not steady.

Your speedometer cable needs to be lubricated.

Remove the faceplate with the two phillips screws on the upper inside of the bezel. Unhook the shift indicator cable from the speedometer face. Remove the speedometer face using (I think) 1/4" screws. Remove speedo cable with needle nose pliers, and lube it up with graphite powder lubricant. Reassemble in reverse order.

that's the cable in the middle right, on a side note one of plugs for the speedometer fell off while I was trying to remove the bulbs how do I remove the the whole thing now ?
