That thing would be a bitch to change out, but I think the part is the same. What ususally is different on these cars when it comes to switches etc in that area would be the speedalert under the clock, or the defroster switch and convert top switch, above the a/c controller. It looks like this unit has holes for all of those things so maybe that was the standard. The dash area looks identical for all years except for the finish on the bezels, which came in silver/black 71/72 and wood immitation in 73. Maybe someone else has something to add?

Welcome turbojaeger,

I´m not the man who can give an answer to your special question because I´m very new in this hobby also, but I´m really enjoyed when reading your German forum nick name and seeing the picture of your convertible of 1971 ! It has the right colour combination for Christmas :) and it seems to be a head turner on sunny days ! I guess I´m with the others here in wishing : we would like to see some more pictures of your car and perhaps get some information regarding its history.

And I hope there is someone out who will add some information to the first answer given from Kimson ==> :user: !!

So I wisk you and all the other Friends of these beautiful Centurions
MERRY CHRISTMAS !

I'm guessing you passed, as it's still there. I found one a couple weeks ago and of course when I got it, the friggen housing was all broke to crap, wich was the main reason I got it to begin with. There were alot of nice parts still on it that I used.

So know I'm looking at that one for the 73. Though I noticed that there seems to be a round hole at the top, just to teh right of the speedo housing and next to the dash light. Don't remember seeing that on my 72. Anyone know what that is?

Trying to decide if I should stop at this place on my way home from work or just keep looking.

I really would like to get my dash back together, but I can't stand the broken pieces of the dash housing bezel.

These are the same for all years, and this is the part that gets hacked if someone installs a modern radio.

Along the top there are 2 lights that shine down and there can be a switch for traction control if the car came equiped with it. It looks like the one from this e-Bay auction had the cutout for the switch.

If this were left blank it wouldn't be visible once the dash was reassembled.

Thanks for the reply John,

Yeah, mines is pretty much destroyed where an aftermarket radio was installed. I can't stand looking at it anymore. Think I'll stop by this place on my way home and check it out. Gonna start looking for a re-gutted original style radio that I can hook a mp3 player to as well.

Thanks again! :beers:
