Looks like this just got listed tonight.
Auction number 260194452721

Lots and lots of options. Colonial gold with a sandlewood interior.
And it was originally a local car. Sold new to someone in Cinnaminnson NJ.
My eldest nephew and his wife live right there. I'm sure in the same development. The live on Jan drive and I'm sure I've been on or crossed Wayne drive while visiting them.
I'd love to be able to bring it home again.

I need to hit the lottery. Sigh......:)

Hey, Richard, this is really a very nice car. It could be a candidate for crossing the "10 grand" border ! Only the season (winter) seems to be not good to reach a high price. Perhaps that could be a chance to get it relatively cheap (?). Good luck to all bidders !

Wow. That is a CLEAN optioned out car!!! That car is optioned out!!!
It even has the high performance dual exhaust option: 4P67U3Y149800 The "u" in the vin signifies it. Maybe that is why the valve covers are chrome.
The color appears to be Colonial Yellow. Look closely at the shot with the top up. Some one better grab this car!! Man I need to win lotto too!!

Over 10 grand I would say easy!! It would be a crime if it doesn't go that high.

All numbers matching, immaculate original Sandlewood interior with no rips or tears, no dash cracks, driver seat just starting to show faint wear, original vinyl boot for top. This car was ordered with almost every available factory option, including 455 engine with dual exhaust, AM FM stereo with 8 track tape player, power locks with electric seat back release, low fuel warning light, lamp monitors, cornering lights, dual 60/40 split front power seats, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, electric rear window defogger, power trunk release, power antenna, chrome Buick road wheels, four note horn, positraction, original factory floor mats, and more. Everything works as it should except the buzzer for the speed alert feature and the front radio speakers. Air conditioner is ice cold and still running on Freon. The only options that I added which are correct for this model are the center floor storage console and the passenger door mirror, sorry, no key for the console. The car has a gold dual pinstripe in the correct style for GM of the 70's.

Good luck, Richard. This looks like a terrific candidate for you and appears to be the real thing with all the bells and whistles too.

I just wanted to chime in to ensure you know it has the standard option 455 engine with dual exhaust. I know that the sheet mentions "high performance" but that's what Buick termed everything with 455s in '73. If it was the modified high performance engine, the code would have been W. U indicates the 455 engine with dual exhaust. You may have already known this but I wanted to make sure that was the case.

Well I didn't win the lottery last night...what's new about that. LOL.
So I am watching this carefully.
It's so close to the perfect car I can almost smell the vinyl....

Hey Richard, et al......... wow, what a beauty! I hope you get the chance to steal her. I'm thinking Rick and Rolf are correct in thinking it might go for that $10K + range, but one never knows. It is winter time and folks just aren't looking for droptops right now. Good luck to you. Good luck to anyone who takes a stab at this. What a car... :D

It looks very clean and the doorjambs/sides and wheelhouse looks exactly as you want them. Some odd colorchanges on the hood but that is something one could live with, at least for a good long time.

I have a question for you us-citizens:
Since thereīs a ongoing problem with US-subprime loans: Have you noticed if people having problem to pay their loans and maybe they start selling their other property like antiques, older vehichles etc to finance their mortgage?

If economy start showing downfigures in one sector often other sectors follows. But perhaps Itīs not there yet (and hopefully donīt get there either)

Mickey, I am not sure we've seen a big influx of folks selling their "toys" just yet... But that might change. Especially for those that purchased toys that really couldn't afford them. I do expect to see a big sell off on beach houses this year as many folks grabbed them up when things were good in past few years. However, now that the market is flat and many of these folks used the "balloon mortgage" option, my guess is they'll become readily available! So, the answer is not yet. At least here on the Eastern side of the US. I'm in Delaware. 2 hours south of New York City, 2 hours north of Washington DC. (Snuggled between Philadelphia and Baltimore)
Perhaps others will offer a little different opinion, but this is what I am seeing.

I bet ya if you offered him 12 grand he'll take it and in my opinion it is well worth it. That car is loaded and perfect. Man wasn't there a thread about a wife buying a Centurion for her husband:rooleyes2: I should show this car to my wife.....yeah right:spank: The closest I'll get is a 1/64 scale matchbox car from her:laugh:

All kidding aside I hope this car goes to a go owner.

She's a beauty... reading Keith's assessment and Rick's opinion's make me feel slightly better with what I paid, but I am not here to scratch that scab!
Hey Rich, Rolf put a link on one of these threads today about a droptop on eBay. It was a project car. Valued at $2000 or $2500??? Good price for someone that's willing to restore her. The guy says the engine is shot, so it's a work in progress. He's in Ohio. Come to think of it, the car was a LeSabre, not a Centurion. So perhaps this isn't what you're looking for!

HI Steve, thanks for the lead.
I saw two 71 LeSabre's (actually three recently)
There is a red one from down south that looks like a candidate for a total restoration and the 71 from Ohio.
So the girls are out there. They just need a trip to the spa.

Well Spring Carlisle is about 16 weeks away and who know what will show up there.

Well I didn't win the powerball again....no surprises there.
So I guess the Centurion buying is at a halt again until.....

I may find another one like my '73 some where.
