It’s got some interesting options, thinking on the MaxTrac and the 73-76 Buick thermometer driver side outside rear view mirror.
The last one was new to me…wonder how it looks...

I have a question with that mirror. I thought it was not available for the 1973 model. It was 1974 that it became available.
Am I correct with this?

Yes, Rick, you are correct unless someone else has evidence to the contrary. The mirror with the thermometer is NOT in the '73 Dealer Accessory List but does appear in '74. Unless there was some late model change and someone has documentation that this mirror was used in '73, it was not available until '74 according to my sources.
This was all enumerated in a post I did quite some time ago when we were discussing the various mirrors and part numbers that were associated with them.

The seller of the Centurion in this post states he added the mirror to the car. I have seen in the past on e-bay this style along with electric power remote mirrors. I wiill agree totally that they were not offered for the Centurion any year. It became available as an option after '74. But on the flip side if one does not care about having the correct mirrors, well then do it. It's a cool option and rare too, and they will fit.
Below is what I found in the Buick Illustration book. It does not list any remote control passenger side mirror for the '73 model. It does list one for the '74 year. The adjustment knob mounts where the trip odemeter is located on the dash, and the trip odemeter is re-located under the dash to the left of the ashtray. I searched the Illustration book and could not find any other passenger side remote mirror for the full size Buick thru 1975. So the mirror posted above may have been offered after 1975.

:Dou: da Had a brain fart there:laugh: Your correct, I got off track there while I was looking for possible driver side mirrors under assessories in the book. I noticed the passenger side set up and thought it was interesting and clearly forgot about what I was originally looking for:confused4: ...brain fart:laugh:
I just did a double check and still couldn't find that mirror listed for the '73 model on the driver's side. Bob had you any luck confirming if it was available?
It is a cool looking mirror:xyxthumbs:

Well we typically always discuss the RH rear mirror, so your mistake is very understandable :D
Seems to be low interest on the temperature mirror so far, no bids and ending in 3,5 hours :coffee:

Cannot figure that one out? It is tempting, but with the Holidays around the corner, plus we just bought a new mini van, Honda OdysseyEXL (wife's choice:tonge2: ). You know ..."Happy wife, happy life;) "
I have to consolidate my slush funds regarding a few (must have) items on e-bay in case it goes down to the wire. Otherwise I may have taken a stab at that mirror.

Steve I heard bribery works fine...thats what I do:laugh: I NEVER say no to the Mrs when she wants something. Though she finally scored BIG time. She wanted to remodel our Kitchen:tonge2: What can I say, we're married 18 years and she damn sure knows that I buy stuff for both cars and all the years leaving for a few days to go to these Buick events. Most times the kids don't go. Oh had to tell ya though, I have a special "Wife Equation Formula". You take the cost of the parts you buy, divide it by 2 and subtract half and that is what you tell her you paid for it.....ahhh come on its only stretching the truth a bit:laugh:
So regarding my kitchen, what can I say.:confused4: She tells me it is payback for 18 years of dealing with cars and car parts and racing:p . So I did it. I had completely gutted the kitchen and she picked out everything she wanted. We contracted it out and yours truely got the bill:eek:
But heck, like I always say, "Happy wife, happy life" Hey Adam and all you single guys out there, just remember that.

Hmm. Sounds like my $875.00 engine rebuild this past spring.
3 prices a man pays.
(1) The price he paid.
(2) The price he tells the wife he paid.
(3) The price he pays should she ever find out what he paid.
