Enjoy, it's a Dutch site but I guess just nice pictures from a Centurion for sale in the states.

These appear to be the photos of dewbers' Centurion that were used to market the car when it was offered for sale (and before dewbers bought it).

I said at the time that I thought that these were some of the most beautiful Centurion photographs I've ever seen.

Steve, if I were you, I would contact the photographer who shot these photos, and request a release from him to utilize these pictures for anything you wish. You very well might receive permission, which would free you to use these beautiful photos for calendars, etc.

This is the first time I've looked at these pictures.
WOW. Triple black. Who would have thought?
The pictures are spectacular.

Hey guys, thanks to you all for the kind words and thanks to you Michel for sending this over. Yes, I am the one who bought this car. It's an amazing combination of black, let me tell you. (not bragging, as I only bought it a few months ago!) But it's very pretty in person. Hot in the dead of summer, but that's a small price to pay to how she looks! The photo's were taken by the dealer that sold the car. I have copies saved to my hard drive. I've never thought to ask them if I can have them to use... I will look into that. Good idea!

Hey Michel - what does that site say in the area after the pictures? It's in Dutch?, which I can not read. Just curious.

Adam - perhaps they can pay your royalties! :rooleyes2:

Just to update what's been done: The only cosmetic changes I've made thus far are the tires and dual exhaust. I've bought a parade boot as you all know and it's painted the same high gloss black as the rest of the car. (that was a pricey endeavor!!) Will install over the winter. I have a right side mirror thanks to Rick Martinez. I also have an instrument dash bezel and a right side dash bezel that I found on eBay (I invited the car owner to join us, but I don't think he has yet) that I need to install. The dash bezel is a "correct" model for my car as it does not have the "tripometer" space on it, as my car does not have this option. These will be installed over the winter as well.
I did install a factory correct 72 radio/8-track player that I bought from one of you on this site. (Kimson, I believe?) Also installed a stereo in the glove box because I wanted to keep the stock look, but have updated "tunes" in her. Added speakers (6 inches) in the armrests of the rear seats. There is a cutout there for them, but that was an option which my car didn't have.
Other than that stuff, she's the same car. Going to rebuild the carb this winter as well. She's not hitting the 4-barrel when asked too...:Brow:

Anyway, thanks again guys. I am totally bitten by the BIG BUICK BUG!
So much fun it should be illegal!

Steve, it appears that your car might be lacking the small stainless molding that fits between the front bumper and the front wheel opening molding on both sides, beneath the side marker lamp.

This piece would have been common to '71 and '72 LeSabres/Centurions/Electra 225's/Estate Wagons. Please let us know if you need us to keep on the lookout for these moldings.

The seller was the St. Louis Auto Museum.

Hi, it's not swedish but Dutch. :beers: So I can translate is for you (only the white text is about the car)

But now the car... sunday is a special day and sometimes also black, so today it will for sure with this car. This Buick Centurion from 1972 is again a car, you can say a battle ship, which doesn't look special at the first glimpse, till you take a good look. It's front with that big under bumper and that angry looking headlights, like he doesn't trust you. Perfect detailing, fully black, also the interior. Those wooden pieces in the interior, typical seventies, should be black also I think. But that's a detail! The rest of the car has a lovely finish and watch those seats with chome on the sides. Black and chrome, it stays a lovely combination. And then these authentic rims, just beautiful with those white wall tires it's really elegant. Even with the top up, it looks good...

Very cool Michele - thanks for translating for me. I may save that as it describes the car terrifically! Very cool!

Hey Brian -thanks for the info. I know the area you're speaking of, but not the chrome piece. Anyone have a photo? And the part name so I can put it on my Santa wish list? (yes fella's, I'd love it if you all would be on the lookout!)

Correct Adam - St Louis Car Museum sold it. Believe I am the third owner.

I really have a lot of fun on this site! You guys are just cool.

Enjoy the day!

Steve, I looked quickly through some of the posts here, and spotted this photo of Smartin's Centurion. You can see the molding in this shot, just below the front side-marker lamp.

I'm sure that one of our digitally-equipped members can nab a close-up shot.

I guess I have the same molding (?) and hope that picture is clean enough.
