With the rims replaced with some factory rally wheels, this could be a nice cruiser.....

... it has the LeSabre portholes on the hood !?

I don´t think that the price will reach a high level, because the pictures are not very good and there is too little information. But you could be right, Per : "With the rims replaced with some factory rally wheels, this could be a nice cruiser...." and perhaps for small money - if the reserve is low enough.

Think they may have replaced it with a LeSabre hood before they had the car painted.
The helmet on the trunk lock lid indicates it’s a Centurion
If it’s a good buy or not is very much depending on the quality on the preparation work before the doing the paint job as well as the price as always

It is not a bad looking car once you get over those rims and tire:tonge2: I took a close look photoshopping some of the photos and lighting them up.

The dashboard passenger side dashplate does appear to say Centurion. I could only judge it from the shape of the letters.

It doesn't had power door locks
It is missing the wood grain face plate that goes over the radio section of the dash.
It has an aftermarket radio
No trip odometer
It is also missing the fender emblems "Centurion & 455"
It is missing the "Buick" trunk emblem
It does appear to have the Centurion hood emblem. The best I can get is seeing a small round emblem. The LeSabre hood emblem I believe is rectangle shaped.
It does have the small clip brackets on the rear interior panels for a parade boot. Hmmm thats a good thing if they have the boot.

All of the above negative things can easily be corrected. I would think it was re-painted and the body shop did not replace the emblems. I would bet he taped off the trunk emblem instead of removing it as it is pop rivited on.

One thought here is being the kid likes that fab look with the huge rims and glitter, he may have aquired the LeSabre hood emblems because he just likes the look on the car and he may have told the body guy to leave all emblems off the car to give it a stream like look. (the style? :Dou: )

As for the hood, yep I would say its a replacement. That along with no fender emblems would make me check the underside real carefully for a past front end accident. Fenders could have been replacements too. Something that bad would damage the inner fender wells along with the radiator support and possibly the frame. If the frame and under the hood show no signs of unrepaired damage then I would not make it an issue as it was repaired correctly if it was hit.

The lack of engine shots can be 3 reasons:
1) The seller is young and what matters most is the looks with the huge tires. With gas getting up there $$ and him getting older, it's time to sell it.:(
2) Signs of unrepaired damage or not repaired properly:eek:
3) Maybe he just forgot or ran out of film:laugh:

On the plus side it is a very clean car and body work & paint being expensive, this car seems to need nothing of it. The mileage...could be original if his father did own the car as the original owner.

We need to see under the hood photos.
It is a good find and worth a closer look and depending on the price may be worth it anyway.

It also seems to have a difference between the rear fenders (right side seems to be more round; left side has a sharper fold) directly at the curve of the fenders over the tires. Perhaps they repaired rust holes with PVC (?).
