Looking for a '73 coupe or converible. Very fussy. Would prefer bamboo cream or yellow very clean car. Would consider red or blue.

An excellent choice. I've seen many bamboo cream and colonial gold Centurions. Red is also reasonably popular. I've see very few blue cars but they are out there.
Very clean convertibles are running between $10k to $15k. The coupes are 3 or 4 grand less.
There are not many bargains to be found. These are fairly rare and replacement sheet metal can be hard to find, so be sure to check thoroughly for rust. The convertibles are particularly prone to rust because they are designed to have the water run off the roof inside the car and out the bottom. The metal inside was not well finished and if the drain holes get plugged rust quickly develops.
The front end and doors are common with full size Buicks so you can get those easily. But, the rear quarters are scarce as hens teeth and that's just where the rust forms.
It's always cheaper to buy a car someone else has restored than to restore one.
Watch eBay, and Craigs list as well as local papers. Right now is a great time to buy a convertible as the prices go down in the fall and rise sharply in the spring and summer.
This board is a great resource for a reality check on the price / condition of a prospect.
Good Luck,
John

I used to own a green-gold 73 convertible that I sold to someone on this registry. Loved the car and just looking to get into another one.

Thanks, but not interested in green anymore. Already did that once. Looking for bamboo cream.:)
