Anyone ever consider installing a 671 just for fun?
I could easily spend $4000 in performance upgrades, but why not simply bolt on a roots type blower on the stock powerplant?
I also have an olds 350 lying around,I could pull out the original 455,and drop in the blown 350 motor in case I regret the decision.
This car will just be for the street, nothing like cruise night with a blower sticking out from under the hood.
The engine whine is quite cool also.
I don't see many blown Buick's,why does everyone go for internal engine work like cams, pistons, carbs, and nitros.
Am I nuts?
Just imagine the fuel!

Better yet go with a pro-charger. You can build it to a stock 455 and the engine will be able to survive keeping the rpm's under 5500. John Csordas Jr. has one on a 1970 Skylark with a STOCK hi mileage bottom end 455 with headers, mild cam, worked heads and 3.73 gears runs in the mid 11's and they are still experimenting with it to go lower. If the motor had been beefer they would be able to crank up the boost geting 10's from it. Price is about the same as a roots blower setup. It whines just like one too. Would make a Centurion a neat sleeper!

Nice engine bay!
I dont see any buick setups listed on most websites.
Dyers has been around for a long time and has a setup listed for the buick 455.
I'm still leaning towards the big scoop popping up from under the hood.
Thanks for sharing the photos.
