I am try to go the A/C route. Anyone have a old one lying around they want to part with ?? :rooleyes2:

Check your local salvage yards. There are a handful of special fasteners and silly plastic bits that you won't get when you buy the major elements. A day with a digital camera disassembling a junker (particularly the dash area) will let you know what's involved and how it should go together.

Good luck, you'll get an extra shiver from the A/C knowing you put it there!

I went with an Optima battery because they survive storage better than a regular battery. You can get Optima battery holders from auto or marine stores that look nice and make getting a battery tray unnecessary. My battery tray was shot, but the metal underneath was reasonably solid. I ground and treated the rust, painted and installed the Optima holder over that. I haven't had any corrosion in the area since.

here in town, alamogordo,NM-the middle of nowhere, is a salvage yard
that has a 73 centurion hardtop standing arround.
i got a mirror of that one...

you can call them if they got your parts and if they can ship it
or send it with the greyhound bus...
if they have it but won´t ship, let me know maybe i can do this.
i´m planning to go there in a few weeks to take a look at the trunk floor...
