Looking for a set...
Holy grail part deux... Think about all the time you'll save at the track without em, I was considering disconnecting the 4-notes and maybe just having one horn to save some weight, but it just doesn't have that honk honk boat horn noise to it and I left them all in there..

indeed - You can see those exact moldings in the "Lost Souls" section of the registry website.
Those went to a good home, though.

Posi and trunk stainless...what more could a guy ask for??
oh, I got it - more time to work on the car!!
Did you keep the posi from the white car? If so, are you planning on running the 3.23 gears from it, or are you after 3.42 stuff?

The rear from the white car is in the coupe now - 3.23's....and will stay that way. If I come across a complete 3.42 rear, then I MIGHT reconsider....or sell it for a mint:laugh:

Congratulations, Adam! How did you locate the trunk stainless?

I had a lead on it for almost a year...I finally got a response from the guy. Supposedly, he had 2 sets at one time...

Was this guy in the St. Louis area? That's where my set of trunk stainless came from. (I had collected three of the pieces NOS back in the late 1980's, but could never locate all five until a friend picked up the set for me from a fellow in St. Louis.)

He's in GA...found him on the V8 board last year, and finally closed the deal this week.

Somewhere in one of your threads, my dear friend, Brian Laurance, mentioned about my purchase and installation of the custom rear body moldings shortly after I bought "gray". In early May, 1973, I ordered the whole set, so I thought, and excitedly pulled into Bob Daniels Buick to see the end result. Needless to say, without the rear of rear quarter moldings installed, the look was none too satisfying. Fortunately, the other parts were ordered and arrived the next day and the end result was far more pleasing and has been for the past 34 years. To make a long story short, I went back to see what the set of five moldings cost me. OK, guys, don't faint! The entire set sold for less than $35! Looking back, I should have ordered about a hundred sets.

I got a pretty good deal on these if I do say so myself...one of my better purchases!
