Guys, I'm trying to figure out a few things about my AC. There is a thermal limiter fuse on top of my compressor. The wires that go to the plug include a black wire with a rubber fitting that should be plugged in somewhere. Perhaps its a ground? I need to find where it should be plugged in. Below is a picture showing the thermal limiter with the black wire and small round plug at the end. I'll include some other pictures for reference, since I really dont know much about these sytems at all.

I beleive the wire should be attached to a post on the back of the compressor. I my memory serves, the limiter is there to prevent the A/C clutch from engaging if the compressor is low on refrigerant.

You might want to check on the V8 buick board. There are some A/C experts there and good discussions about refrigerants and system modifications.

Thanks, will try the V8buick forum. So, maybe its a ground wire?

There should be a post on the back of the compressor that accepts that plug (the black round one).
