After many years of searching, I found my 1973 Buick Centurion Convertible 455.

I flew out from Chicago and drove it home. It drove like a dream. I bought it from a little old lady in Buffalo. It was a car guy's dream. She and her husband bought it new back in 1973 and it never saw rain or snow. It had 60,262 original miles and no rust issues.

It is dark green interior, green exterior with a green top. The interior is mint. The exterior has a few year old repaint. It is cleannnnnnnnn.

Drove it home last night and the wife loved it. My other family members were very happy for me and I am very happy to be part of the Centurion family.

A bonus is that the is a W in vin which may mean it has a Stage 1. Any ideas on how to verify Stage 1 in a Centurion.

I will post pictures when I stop doing my HAPPY DANCE.

Will:beers:

The W in the VIN denotes the "high performance 455" option, which was not technically a Stage1 motor like in the Skylark/Century.

These engines are supposed to have large valve heads, but the only way to verify, is to pull a head and look. Also, this option had dual exhaust as standard equipment. The cam was slightly hotter than stock, but not quite a true Stage1 cam profile.
