Not sure who posted it, but some time ago someone mentioned that for our big cars Buick offered the 8-track option with a seperate under the dash 8-track that was color matched to the car. I was always under the belief that the 8-tracks were part of the am/fm stereo unit.

Well I never doubted what the poster stated, just that I never seen one until this morning on e-bay. It's a colored matched, under the dash 8-track player. Though I don't care for it for the big cars, it is indeed a rare piece. The link is below if anyone is interested.

I would figure if the unit doesn't match why bother buying it. It is cool though as I never saw one colored and different looking from the standard Skylark/GS units

I actually prefer the all in one unit (am/fm 8-track stereo). I have been searching for a while, missed one by screwing up on the bidding and another was just way too high. Waited it out and it paid off. Last week I spotted one and kept my trap shut and watched it as no one bid on the $30 starting bid. One it for $56 bucks! It's a working unit all the wires and wire plugs along with the amp included. The knobs look shot but I'll just use mine. Should arrive here within a few days.
