Yes it is. The Stage1 stock pump couldn't keep up with the demand, and I would run out of fuel in the carburetor around the time when I hit second gear if I was at WOT. The new pump from TA is awesome, and NEARLY a direct bolt in. I didn't have to buy any extra stuff to install it. I did have to do some slight bending to the stock metal line from the pump to the carb.

Interesting!
I guess your hot 455 has an apatite on gas that can’t really compare with the stock engine
Speaking of 71 Formal Coupe’s, have you seen this one before? It’s for sale here in Sweden and I know someone who’s gone check it out today actually ;)

Nice looking Coupe! It looks like the top has been replaced with an incorrect grain vinyl, but I like the color combo.
Yes, my engine is very thirsty. The Stage1 pump is supposed to support up to 450 hp. My engine is right at that point. So I upgraded to a 500 hp mechanical pump.

I noticed that the Centurion in the link is missing that small piece of trim between the drip rail and the window trim....just like mine is too and alot of the the other ones I see listed for sale and in galleries on the web. Must have been a common problem.

One of mine was broken off, but Ted had the piece and gave it to me. It only has one attaching point, and it tucks under the stainless beltline molding...snaps off right there. I imagine it's due to a towel getting caught on it when it's washed or something similar. I just used some epoxy and blued mine back on....been holding for 3 years now!
