Anyone who has any experience of the exhaust systems from Klasscollection?

Yep. See my thread on V8Buick.

Summary - the pipes look nice but will not fit the mufflers without a lot of sweat and blood and a tailpipe expander. The mufflers they give you are too loud I recommend you get your own mufflers.
I think Smartin got his tailpipes there as well.

Thanks Eric!
That was exactly the kind of information I was looking for.

Yep, I got my tailpipes there...fit perfect, and I ordered oversized pipes.

So if I have understood you correctly,
Apart from the bad mufflers these systems are pretty ok?
I can live with having to cut of a piece or two on the pipes as long as I don’t have to adjust the way the pipes are bent.

I bought a system for my Wildcat (67  ) from these guys...
First the history- back in like '96 I bought a ss system for my 65 riv-many problems! finally got it together with a small sledge hammer!
Adam had a good experience, so I tried again. This time it is much better but again some problems.
I did not order mufflers, but got them anyway? I used them on my Skylark and they were a very loose fit -
There was 1 bend wrong I had to cut and reweld
The downturns on the tailpipe looked bad, I cut them off and stuck some others on there.
For the money it was an OK deal- just be ready to rework some of it!

Thanks for sharing this info Ted,:xyxthumbs:
Now I have a clear picture what to expect.
It’s when the cut and rewelding part is needed too much, you start wondering if it wouldn’t be easier and cheaper to just build your own exhaust from standard parts.
I just hate when a exhaust is rattling under the car

I looked at that too- cheeper maybe but easier no...definetly not faster to build your own.
I'm driving the Wildcat today and it sounds great- Like Adam I asked for 2.5 tubing. I also used Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers. The exhaust is fine after the bit of tweaking.:xyxthumbs:

Any difference in power when going to 2.5 inch tubes? Less torque, more horse?

I did not run it on the street with the original exhaust.
It feels really strong now, no way has there been any decrease in torque!
I have to have the windows down under bridges so I can hear the sweet song of the 430 singing the 360 hp tune:beers: :beers: :beers:

Beatiful car, I love that blue nuance.
He he:laugh: , I recognise myself in driving with the window down just to hear the music from the V8. Guess such behaviour proofs that we car fanatics really are international.

Yes!
Something about accelleration, power, freedom comes out of the pipes- The V8 speaks a universal language!
