Hi! I'm a new member to the Centurion community. I have a73 convertible with only 51,000 miles that I bought from the original owner 6-7 years ago. I lost the side decal (Centurion) on the drivers side. I was lucky enough to save the numbered decal (445). Is there somewhere I can find this missing decal? Thanks in advance!

If you are talking about the "Centurion" fender emblems, (see below) they are bolted, not decals. No one repros them. Have to search on e-bay, swap meets, or wanted/for sale sections. All '71 thru '73 will fit and are the same. Word to wise DO NOT damage those 455 fender emblems. They are a one year, one model emblem that is bolted onto the fender like the "Centurion" emblem. You will ONLY find them on the 1973 Centurion that came with the 455 option. They are very hard to find. They may look similar to the GS 455 fender emblem, but a closer look at the Centurion 455 emblem shows the lower portion is thicker than the upper portion of the emblem. This is so because the fender curves inward so that the emblem makes up for the inward curve. Where as the Skylark/GS body doesn't as much so that the 455 emblem is even thickness.

On the converts there are no other Centurion named emblems or decals. You have the helmet emblem on the nose of the hood and on the trunk is a sliding trunk lock with the helmet guy emblem. The trunk emblem is another rare one of a kind piece. An NOS in box recently went for over $500 bucks on ebay. The trunk emblems are riveted on from the factory. If you have to remove any of them DO NOT PRY them off...otherwise you will make me cry:bawl: ;)

The only other 455 insignia would be the air cleaner decal and it should say 455-4. They are plentifull on e-bay and swap meets.

Thanks for the reply. I have all emblems except the Centurion emblem on the drivers side. What is the best way (what words to use) to shop on Ebay for the emblem?

In the automotive section I usually search in "Parts Type" and type in "All Types" Model is: Buick Years: 1971-1974 a whole bunch of Buick stuff comes up. Just sit back a scroll thru it. I'll keep my eyes open on it. I usually post links on this board too.

I usually just type in "buick centurion" and it pulls up most of the stuff available at any given time.
