2.93 posi for sale

Hi guys,
I bought this whole rear axle from a '74(?) Riv. The axle housing has gone to the junkyard but the posi carrier and 2.93 gears is now for sale!
$200 + shipping to the lucky new owner.

The full size Posi is a rare and valuable item, unfortunately Buick seems to have stuffed every axle they could think of under there. Determining what axle that posi came out of is your first step.

I think all of the Riviera's came with the 455 and that limits the choices. Perhaps someone with better information can tell you if it's an 8.5, 8-7/8 or 9-3/8.

Once you have a better idea of which axle it came from you'll get more reaction.

Measure the ring gear...

Being in a big block car, I'd imagine it's a 9 3/8, but I don't know squat about 74's.
