Hi.

You know where i can find rims for the car? What other model have the same bolt pattern?

What do you guys think when it comes to size on rims on this car?

I like low profiled big rims but i dont know if it will look ghetto on it.

Thanks!

EDIT: I think i posted this thread in the wrong category.

The correct wheels for the Centurions are regularly found on eBay and even on occasion Craigslist. Even average condition wheels clean up nicely with a little elbow grease and repainting the center black area.
Ghetto, yes that would be a good way to describe the look of a Centurion with anything but the original wheels / wheel covers on it. Some types much worse than others.

I also have some surplus driver-grade rallye wheels, available cheap. Would love to get them out of my garage! The original rallyes are the most appealing look in the full-sized Buicks; aftermarket wheels of any type are rarely as good-looking, and most often cheapen the car's appearance.

Pics on request.

Well you know, anything other than rally wheel, offsets the look38470 of the car. We both know that the car itself is perfect as is. Any wheels, smaller or larger becomes an opinion about the looks. Now if you are interested I have a set of 265/35/22 ROADIANS HP Extra load rated tires and rims $800. They were for a 71 LeSabre, they decided to go larger.

Hello,

Wheel choice is a much debated issue. I have aftermarket rims and am leaning toward a switch to the stock rims.

The bolt pattern on our car is 5X5. Be careful if you're shopping for Buick rims as most will have a smaller bolt pattern. You need rims from a full size Buick. You also need rims made after 1970 or '71 (I can't remember which) because the shape of the rim center was changed to accomodate disc brakes.

Most rims with a 5X5 pattern are aimed at SUV's which look more industrial than elegant.

Happy hunting and let us know what you decide.

Once I copied this - as far as I remember I found it somewhere on this site here - :
>> The rally rims that came on the pre '71 big Buicks look the same as the one's that came on the big Buicks in '71 and onwards, but they're not identical. The earlier rims had a ring inside the center hole on the back, and the center cap hole was also slightly larger to hold a different cap design. The distance from the lug holes to the rim edge on the back is also 1cm less on the older rims. There's also a difference in the angle of the flat face edge around the rim, it has a slightly deeper banking on the earlier version than the '71 onwards. The differences are very hard to see unless you have two rims right next to each other and really look for the design variation. Both versions do have the same 5x5 bolt pattern though, and were 15x6 inches. <<

Good luck !
