73 Riv posi to 71 Centurion

Hi all
Finally went back to a local yard to get a price on the read end from their 73 Riv. The vin is 5th digit W so it should be 3.23 posi, correct? Is the entire diff interchangeable with my 71 diff (much easier to swap than deal with swapping the carrier and dealing with pre-loads etc.)? Is $250 a fair price? I am also getting them to give me a price on the heads (should be Stage 1 due to the W code) and also the entire drive train (455/th400/read end). What should the heads be worth? Engine is probably seized as based on where it is in the yard it probably been sitting there for 10 + years but having a spare block isn't a bad thing. Thanks in advance!

NO $250 is way too much I take it off your hands:Brow: Just to let you know a set of 3.23 gears...just the ring and pinion gears for our rears went on e-bay for $511.00!!!!! Best advise BUY THAT REAR BOY!!! Good find:xyxthumbs: Because if you don't I will!

WOW! I'm going to jump on it. He is calling me Monday with price on the full drive train. And keep in mind the $250 is Canadian.. so thats about $220 US!!!! Thanks for the feed back :beers:

If the mirror has the stainless backing and a cream colored mirror surround, then I will take it.

Sounds like you're getting a good deal on the rear! I have the same rear in my Centurion.

The car does have a tan interior (whats left of it being filled with years of pine needles!!! :Dou: ) so it may be a match. I was more preoccupied with the diff today I can't say what it looked like. In any case I'll snap a pic when I there next and if you want it, it is yours!
