Score a good one off e-bay

Last year I grabbed the cornering headlight option, wires, lights and bracket. Then soon after scored a good hit on a nos in box column switch for the cornering headlights. The huge question was how to make the hole in a perfectly good fenders to intall them. I took a load ofclose up photos and finally the got the big score!

E-Bay had a 73 LeSabre/Centurion right side fender NOS never mounted with the cornering headlight optional cutouts. For this option there was a different fender used. And the price...are you ready... FIFTY BUCKS!!!!!! For what ever reason all you guys must have missed it:rolleyes: I was the only bidder on a four day auction!

The fender came in today packed in the original GM box no less. And its perfect, no dents or deep scratches. I will now bring it with the car to the guy who did the body work and see now if he can duplicate the cut in the drivers fender and weld in some mounting brackets. Unless I can find a drivers side fender in good shape.....yeah right. Here is the link with photos.

Next up I have to install the fender headlight indicators. Got them already just have to mount them.

Your right, patience does pay off. With summer looming I may hold off and search during the summer months for a used driver side fender. Your on the money as the inside of the fender has another piece welded inside to support the lights. Instead of during the cheap way maybe I will wait and do it once and correct with the correct fender. Heck I'm almost there. Good advise.:xyxthumbs: Thanks!

I'm putting a set of these on my car, got two fenders I'm prepping, but I'm not sure I really want the added size of the lights. I think the smaller lower mounted lights are less showy, an more discrete = a cleaner look.

As far as the lights I would stick with what was proper for the car on the given year. At least you got the fenders, thats a tough one.

Just a heads up in case you don't know. There is a different switch from Delco Remy that mounts inside the steering column for the cornering headlight option.
I found out after I aquired the lights, brackets wires etc. Then I was told you need the special switch. Saw one on e-bay for $175, after choking on the asking price I reluctantly past hoping to find one on a parts car. Then on e-bay saw another one, new in box...$15 bucks. It slipped by the watchfull Centurion owners out there and had zero bids. Anyway the switch fits 69-75 all Buicks. See attached.
