After a week of miserably hot and humid temps, yesterday was a spectacular day for a car show and the Arthritis Foundation Show was a treat as it always is. Keith surprised me by driving over so we parked the two Centurions side by side for a great contrast. As always, his car drew tremendous raves (and rightfully so) from scores of onlookers. Of course, we had the only Centurions there and the only 71-73 B-C bodies as well.
There were some really amazing cars. Among them were: 1908 International High Wheeler (the wheels must have beern 4-5 feet tall), 1906 Elmore, 1933 American Austin Roadster, 1923 Auburn, 1928 Ford Model A Produce Truck, 1940 Buick Model 59 Woody Wagon (spectacular), 1942 Chrysler Woody Wagon (equally spectacular) and one of my favorites was a 1947 Packard sedan that was documented to be the last car that Al Capone purchased as he also died in 1947. This is just a great show and it was good to see some other long time Buick Club friends and a spectacular array of cars. My brief list only scratched the surface. What a fun day it was!
