I have been considering replacing my 350 with a 455,How many modifications would be needed?

I know the fan shroud is different, but there's really not a whole lot that has to be changed. Possibly the throttle cable? I'm not sure the exhaust will line up correctly anymore.

A few more things I think you'll need. I think the engine mounts and radiator shroud are different. You'll probably want to change to a 455 radiator. The 455 normally came attached to a TH400 transmission which is longer than the TH350 and uses a different drive shaft. I think the TH350 can be strengthened to withstand the big block which would allow you to keep your current driveshaft.

The wiring and plumbing are pretty similar which will make things easier.

Unless you have a 455 handy it might be easiest to find a rusted out 4 door with the 455 and get all the parts you need in one package.

What is your goal in the engine swap?
