You fill it through the dipstick tube. Passenger side coming up the back side of the engine.

thanks

I have had the centurion for same years and itīs in great shape. Although I hadnīt the time to take it out of garage last year so it has been standing still for 2 years. Not good but thats life sometimes.

However, It fired up right away, i didnt even have to recharge the battery. Every thing seemed ok at first but when i tried to make go faster it just wouldnīt do it. I thought perhaps the brakes hadnīt released but no. So I drived at low speed (just a half mile) when i returned to the garage it wouldnīt change gears. And it has leaked some oil also but i thought it was engine oil. Perhaps it transmission oil instead.

Any other advice please?

Hi
It is advisable to change all the fluids prior of driving if the car has been standing still for a long time
If you can mistake transmission fluid for engine oil then i think the oil is burnt and dirty Transmission fluid should be red and smells like almonds
This can be the reason why the transmission isn't shifting
Further more you have to check the ignition and perhaps the carburetor to check fuel is getting where it should
If you wanted to go faster by giving it more gas and it won't go perhaps the acceleration pump is stuck or leaking or the ignition is off
So you see there are many reasons why it wound go as it should
If you can give some more information on the specific problem we can give better advice
My advice for now is to tackle all these issues

Carburetor
you can get parts you need for your carburetor here http://www.carburetor.ca/carbs/numbers/Rochester/Quadrajet/index.html this is a complete rebuild kit designed for your carburetor
You need the number that is located on the side of the carburetor

Ignition
Change spark plugs and spark plug wires, clean or change the points if you have points ignition, change the distributor cap and the rotor and set the timing
You can find parts here http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php or at you local garage
Distributor point opening .016`
Spark plug ACDelco R45TS gap .040`
Ignition timing standard it is 4° BTDC (vacuum disconnected and capped)

Fluids
Drain the oil from the engine and replace the oil filter
10W40 oil should be OK for normal driving use mineral oil for these old engines that is better for the oil seals

Transmission fluid
Drain by removing the oil pan on one side loosen it and let the oil drain after that loosen it further and drain some more an the remove the oil pan
Replace the filter (take care of the rubber seals) replace the gasket an re install the oil pan fill it up thu the dipstick tube as Adam mentioned
Use Dextron II grading transmission fluid or higher (it is down wards compatible)

Thanks Erik for a nice summit what everyone should think of when restarting up the new season!

It was as simple as lack of gear oil. Now it runs like the beast it always been!
