We recently had a 90 degree day and so I thought it would be a good test to run the A/C on MAX while idling with the top down. She made it about 10 minutes before the idiot light came on :Dou:
So I removed the radiator and made a shroud from 20ga steel to mount the electric fans on instead of directly to the radiator. This way the full capacity of the radiator surfaces will be in use instead of just the 13.5 circles where the fans normally mount.
I tested it that way this weekend at about the same temps and this time no problem :xyxthumbs:
Now I'll wait for a 100 degree day and try it again. :Brow:
I didn't take pictures till after I installed it but I'm sure you get the idea from the install pics below.
