I think I am going to need to re-wire all the power window switches in my 72 Centurion convertible. Has anyone attempted this? What are the pitfalls? I found the complete kit on year1.com for $159. As usual, any and all advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Welcome, Perry, to this site here ! You have a very nice car now which I also saw some time ago somewhere in the net admiring the beautiful photos. The green color has a special charme.:xyxthumbs:
Now to your problem :
- What is your problem : do you have no power at the cables ends or are the switches not doing their job ?
- If you canīt measure any power at the cables I first would look if the next connection back on their way to the power source is okay and has power and so on. Otherwise also changing the window wirings will perhaps not bring the wished success.
- If you can measure power than look if you have ground also. Itīs nearly the same problem.
- If all this is okay you probably have only corroded swiches. In this case I first would spay some special electic connector oil into the connection holes and into the gaps of the switches and then move them up and down. Every time when I had such a problem I could blow it away with this easy method !
Hope you will find out that itīs only a simple problem which would avoid greater work and save some money !
