Not my car Kurtis, just keeping with the theme of a cold snowy winter here in the northeast. Maybe this should be better. hahaha
Bottom line, its damn cold outside:laugh:

I tried to re-upload a pict in one of my posts as a test, but I can’t really figure the Manage Attachments tool out?
The picts come up as question marks even if they are uploaded again?? :confused4:

Hey, I loaded a jpg.-picture with 2.49MB without resizing it to lower volume and it worked ... !
Will try again and give a description how to do the trick.

Now here is how I loaded the pics :
1. click on button "Manage Attachments"
2. click on "Add Files"
3. click on "Select Files"
4. search the picture in your PC and double-click to this file
5. click "Upload Files"
6. click "Insert Attachments"
That´s all, then write your post and click "Submit Reply" and it´s done !

12. / Jan. /2010 :
1.) Tested to delete a pic and posting another one ==> no problem !
2.) Tested to upload a pic that was uploaded in one of my old threads ==> no problem ; I first loaded it again from my PC with the mangagement file function and then could see this file in the bottom line called Attachments; then I clicked into the free field of the new attachment file so that there was a v-sign and then clicked Insert Attachment and it came up here !
3.) Tested to attach some more old pics and found out that they sometimes didn´t come up here in spite of seeing them loaded in the Attachment-Manager before but couldn´t find out why they don´t come up with the posted first picture ! So I gave up trying : :confused4: !

This has to do with what browser you are using.
With Explorer 6.1 which I have on my work computer I’m unable to upload attachments and view the “All members please read this” note.
On my private computer where I use Google Chrome these things work just fine.
I know that there is a newer version of Explorer than 6.1, so that might work too.
Just a tip, can be good to know

Yes it depends of witch browser you use
At my workplace i have also MS Explorer 6.1 and not able to upgrade myself because of user policies from the IT department :bawl:
With this browser you don't see the new posts icons or no icons what so ever
At home i use MS Explorer 8.0 and everything works just fine

I wish I would've known that this version of vbulletin didn't work well with IE 6.0...I might've reconsidered upgrading.

I’ve tried to re-upload the missing pictures in some of my threads that I think might be of interest to keep intact.
Haven’t really figured out a good way to do this with the Edit function, sometimes I mange to upload some of the pictures and other times none. Tried different browser (IE 6, 7 & 8 and Google Chrome) but the result is still random.
I also tried to delete the old pictures and then save the change before uploading the pictures again.
At one occasion I was unable to delete the old pictures in the post.
Think I’m out of ideas of how to do it at the moment and ready to give up unless somebody have any sharp advice to offer…

Hey, Adam and Rick, now I tested within the "Edit Post" - function to upload and to delete my pictures as you can read in my post No. 13 here, but now after I ended testing all the pictures of this whole thread are not visible for me any more. On the other hand : if I look to my edited post with the "Edit Post"-function I can see my picture when using the "Preview"-function !
Man, that seems to me as if I killed all the pics of this thread in a way that they are still here but unvisible ! - ???
Perhaps this all has to be adjusted by the forum managers in the background ?
Or is there another explanation ?
I´m really :confused4: now !

I don't know what is going on with that. I cannot see any of them either. I'll work on it.
It's always something.
