Has anyone done a restoration on their wheels? My wheels are in need of some attention. The chrome is decent, but the black painted center sections are in need of some TLC.... Curious if anyone has tackled this and has some pointers to save me the pain of finding out what not to do on my own.

I did mine on the convertible. It took some time to clean them up and mask the insides of the wheels to paint the black. I just found some good quality semi-gloss black spray paint and did them. Turned out really nice!

I must have done something like 30 of these by now. A good scrub, and then masking the outer edge of the rim with newspaper, and taping off the inner shape of the black parts. I then just cut along the black shape with an xacto knife and it becomes perfectly masked, there's a slight line in the metal you can lean the knife against that follows the shape, takes time, but well worth it.

I can confirm that Kimsons method really works having bought a set of four of him that looks like new :)
