Rear Seat

I'm looking for a convertable rear bench seat back. All i really need is the "wood" back. Please let me know if you have one for sale.

Hi Herman,

I've got one but the shipping cost would be more than the part is worth. One of the benefits of the scissor roof is the fact that it folds behind the seat not beside it. The rear seat is the same part in convertibles and hardtops. If you can find a hardtop back seat from any 71-73 it will have the part you need.

In addition the back of the seat is a fiber board with a couple of simple braces and hooks to hang it. It is flat and simple. It would be very easy to replicate the part in thin plywood. I can post a couple of pictures if you need them.

A guy who has just finished a project with a result as you have a simple flat backboard shouldn't be a problem I believe you can do it in your :sleep:

just use the old one as a template and trace the outline and holes and you can tack the backseat and braces on it
