Most of these rims were 15x6. The 15x7 is usually associated with the Skylark rims which have a different bolt pattern.

There are companies that will widen the rim to anything you want. That might be a better route if your looking for a wider rim. If you take careful measurements a lot more rim and tire can fit under these full size cars, but you'll need to change the offset a bit.

The rims you want will have 5 bolts in a 5 inch circle, usually written 5X5. The Skylark rims have a 4 3/4 inch bolt circle 5X4.75. You obviously can't use the Skylark rims.

There are many small variations in the rims, the one you need to be aware of is the early rims made for drum brakes have a different shape than the later ones made for disc brakes. I think the later rims will fit any car, but the early rims don't work on disc brake cars. I may have that backwards. :confused4:

Wheel Vintiques makes a Buick styled 17" rim that comes up to 11" wide.

I'd love to see how these rims would look on one of our full size beasties. I think the 17" might be a better scale for the car.

It's doubtful I'll ever have the expendable income to find out.

The full size Buick rims are 15x6 and they cannot be widened because they don't have the normal disc/rim construction. 15x7 full size wheels were optional on 80-81 full size wagons (don't quote me on the exact model years). I have them on my Centurion ;) and I got them from Specialty Wheels Ltd. They were $1000/set at the time and you would have to call to find out if they have any because they are very rare and no one makes reproductions, just replates. They are nice because you can fit wider tires like the ones you see in my Avatar.
