Hey guys,
What do you think of this!!
6 Speed tranny, can handle 850 hp :Brow:
complete kit with ECU, shift paddles for manual shifting, wiring harness, cooling... for 6000 dollars.
I think thats a good price. Especially because it can handle 850 hp.
If you build a TH400 to handle this it usually will cost about 3000 dollars, or not ?
But thats a programmable 6 speed.
Wow, that would be a drivetrain: TA aluminum Block (also has the chevy bolt patter) with this tranny. To cool.

Looks like one heck of a transmission but I prefer a 4-speed myself.
I had a five-speed automatic in my BMW that I sold one year ago. Perfect for autobahn but keeps shifting gears too often in some of the speed limits where I live.
A solid and smooth 4-speed with the fourth gear as overdrive would be optimal for the Centurion in my opinion. Would save gas and the engine as well as reduce the noise.
The overdrive would allow a little a higher ratio on the rear too :Brow:

Per,
youīre right. A 4 speed would do a good job in the Centurion. But I was really impressed of a 6 speed that can handle 850 !!!! HP. Also impressed because itīs the first aftermarket automatic transmission I saw. All other keep modifying existing trannys.
But I wouldnīt know where to place the shift paddles in the Centurion ;)
They would ruin the look,

I agree Peter, it is impressive equipment
Just stroke my mind that my old BMW was imported from Austria by the previous owner, a place called Lins or Linz just on the border to Germany

Jep, itīs called Linz. Itīs about 70 miles from where I live.
Interesting that someone imports a BMW from Astria. Usually they are cheaper in Germany. Only advantage is that BMW offers the "Austria-Package". In that way you get some options for less money than you would pay in Germany. But if youīre looking for a used one to import itīs better in Germany.

We had a big import wave here the last half of the 90s after Sweden had joined EU and the import tax was removed for cars (inside EU) . Most cars where imported from Germany, but a few came from other EU countries too like mine.
Before we entered prices were like 20-30% higher here :tonge2:, that why the massive import.
