What is the correct tire size for a 73 centurion convertible?

Hi Scott
I have 235-75/15 with a 2" white stripe on my car
The owners manual states that the original tire size is H78-15 and the J78-15 is optional and so is the whitewall
The load range should be B and the tire pressure is Front 24 and Rear 28 PSI (cold)
If you are driving with up to five occupants in the car the pressure should be Front 24 and Rear 24 PSI (cold)
You can find this information on the inside of you glove box door

Hope this information helps you

I have 225/75/15 which was on the car when I once got it.
Since the previous and only owner seems to have kept everything strictly stock, I would be surprised if the tire dimension was an exception.

What puzzles me a bit is that they tend to scratch the inside of the front fenders with a full turn on the steering wheel.

I think they came with J78-15 tires.
That was an overall dia. of approx. 28.8 in
If you want to replace them with 235/75 R15
They have a overall dia. of 28.85 in
If you put 225/75 R15 on you have a overall dia. of
28.3 in. It won´t make a huge difference. I´ve got the 235´s on.
