And hopefully it's the correct clock for a 72 Centurion, what do you all think?

If your car already has one, you are better of havaing it rebuilt/converted to quartz - then it will keep perfect time, The factory units, even those that are rebuilt or reconditioned only tend to keep decent time when you are running the car.

Kurtis - Suggestions on where to have rebuilt or converted? That's been mentioned on here before, but I can't remember if anyone shared where to get that done?!?!

Since I live in a country where people love econoboxes with
1.2 liter engines it is not very easy to find somebody willing to
rebuild my clock. I won the auction BTW, so the Clock is mine.
Now all I need is a 8-track player!

Remember Adam said he had got many clocks like this to work again just by cleaning them up and then lub them.
So you can probably get yours to work again too by doing so and then sell it on ebay or stash it as a spare…..

I've gotten several to run by cleaning the contacts, and literally flushing the movement with WD-40, cleaning out any gunk.
The one that is currently in my '70 Riviera didn't run at all.
After doing this procedure to it is has run faithfully for over 10 years. And it actually keeps pretty good time considering, though I do fuss with it a little whenever I get into the car.
I have a "thing" about correct time.
All the clocks in my house are in synch to the second, set from my wrist watch which is set once a week to the atomic clock. :rooleyes2:
I tell the wife I am allowed at least one eccentric behavior.
